China has dockless bikeshare graveyards; the United States has Volkswagen graveyards.

If you thought the pictures of bicycle graveyards in China was impressive—the result of oversupply and lack of regulation of dockless bikeshare companies—wait until you see the American version of this story.
Andy Hayes shares news and photos of the immense Volkswagen graveyards that have sprung up around the country as a result of the company's emissions scandal.
"Dramatic aerial pictures show row after row of diesel VWs and Audis sitting in the baking California sun, awaiting either repair or destruction in their desert graveyard," writes Hayes. "This is just one of 37 storage areas the firm has around the US, housing almost 300,000 vehicles."
One of the other locations, in Pontiac, Michigan, prompted a lawsuit in March 2017.
