Three tractor trailers overturned in less than a month while navigating Spaghetti Junction in Louisville—the maze of twisting ramps and interchanges that sparked viral notoriety at the end of 2016.

"The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet plans to launch a review of curve speeds in the new Spaghetti Junction interchange and investigate factors that led to three tractor trailers overturning there in less than a month," reports Marcus Green.
The Spaghetti Junction was part of a $2.3 billion Ohio River Bridges project that opened in December 2016, provoking criticism for its costs, scope, and toll plan. "One goal of the rebuilt junction was to eliminate dangerous portions where drivers had to merge quickly," according to Green, so the recurring safety issues since December are particularly problematic.
