Ada County Highway District is now accepting applications for a Supervisor – Accessibility and Mobility in the Projects Department. This is a full-time, exempt position with a starting salary of $95,472 - $109,824 per year, DOQ.

Primary Duties:
- The Accessibility and Mobility Supervisor is responsible to ensure compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) throughout the planning, design, and construction process.
- The individual is responsible for the coordination and implementation of all District access and mobility programs, activities, and services. This also includes work in the management and preparation of policies, guidance documents, plans and project designs that conform with principles of context sensitive design, performance measures, ADA Transition Plan, and Title VI reporting.
- Oversee a team of professionals and subject matter experts in the fields of Federal Funding, Accessibility Compliance, and Bicycle and Pedestrian Infrastructure.
Qualifications:
- Requires considerable knowledge of ADA and related accessibility laws and regulations; the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD); Public Rights-of-Way Accessibility Guidelines (PROWAG); Principles and practices of disability discrimination complaint investigations and mediations.
- The incumbent must have a thorough knowledge of mobility from the perspective of all users of the transportation system; Complete streets policies and principles of a safe system approach; ADA, pedestrian and bicyclist design elements and roadway design principles, including the ability to interpret roadway plans, including geometric designs, and roadway safety.
- Must possess a valid Idaho driver’s license.
- Possess or ability to obtain and maintain ADA Coordinator Training Certification Program (ACTCP) certification within eighteen months of hire.
- Graduation from an accredited four (4) year college or university with a bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Planning or a related field; OR any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the required knowledge, skills, abilities and experience.
