How to Build a Real-Time LED Display of Your City's Transit System

One MIT student's love of transit means no one in his house will ever miss the T.

"Inspired by his love of public transit, MIT junior Ian Reynolds has built onto his fraternity room wall a map of the T that shows real-time locations of the vehicles using vibrant LED lights," reports Steve Annear.

Annear spares no detail in describing how the wall works, but the data driving the display comes from the MBTA API, updated every 10 to 15 seconds.
