This report, published by the National Low Income HousingCoalition (NLIHC), examines the widening gapbetweenwages and housing costs in the United States. According to the report,onlyMassachusetts ranks lower than California in terms of housingaffordability. The reports finds that a renter in California has to earnnearly $20 per hour to afford a modest two-bedroom house. The reportalsofinds that the trend is not abating in California, and rental housingcostsare continuing to increase.
