NPR's Cities Project is crowdsourcing Instagram photos of nature creeping back into urban spaces.
As described by the Cities Project post, nature can reclaim urban space "in an empty lot gone to seed, a vacant house full of bats or a flower pushing its way up through a crack in your balcony or sidewalk."
Cities Project is asking for Instagram users to submit photos under the hashtag #nprcities, and they'll post the images on their site. So far the themes that have emerged: "Animals, Strength, Growth Amid Ruin, Where The Railroad Ends and Flower Power."
