The Seattle City Council is currently considering the Seattle 2035 Comprehensive Plan. The plan could change significantly from Mayor Ed Murray's proposed draft to the final, approved version.
Stephen Fesler reports that the Seattle City Council has begun considering Seattle 2035 [pdf], "the City’s major update to the Comprehensive Plan."
The City Council has already generated 159 possible amendments to the version of the plan recommended by Mayor Ed Murray. Most of those amendments make technical changes that won't substantively alter the overall land use policies proposed by the plan. However, "13 sets of amendment proposals would actually make major substantive policy changes to the plan," according to Fesler.
Those potentially substantive policy changes include amendments to the following elements in the plan, some with more amendments than other, each detailed in the article:
