"A recent visit to Chattanooga, Tenn. convinces me that U.S. cities—particularly small and medium-sized ones—can take multiple paths to unleashing their distinct innovative economies," according to an article by Bruce Katz, who notes that the city has built on three assets to do so: "quality place making, unusual anchor institutions, and a highly collaborative innovation ecosystem."
