"The issue has prompted school children to write essays on why yellow is good and the local newspapers to write editorials asking 'Since when is yellow a crime?' Color choice is even expected to become a campaign issue... El Dorado Hills is hardly the only community in the country to dictate what its residents can and cannot do to their property. But some here say the local situation is a glaring example of what can happen when rules go out of control."
