Urban planner Dan Zack writes in this week's PLANetizen Op-Ed: "Rather than ridiculing Portland for having the guts to try something different, we should be studying their experiment, and evaluating how we can use the best of their techniques at home. We should be debating whether the UGB was drawn too loose or too tight, if the first crop of TODs were designed in the best possible way, and what have been the most successful ways to increase density and encourage infill."
