IEDC is very pleased to announce our newest Annual Conference keynote speaker, Denise Morrison, President and CEO of the Campbell Soup Company. Denise Morrison will be speaking on Tuesday, October 8, at 8:45 a.m.

Denise Morrison is President and CEO of Campbell Soup Company, a global maker of simple meals, baked snacks, and healthy beverages. She brings a distinguished track record of building strong businesses and growing iconic brands. She became CEO in August 2011 after more than eight years at Campbell and more than 30 years in the food business.

Between August 2012 and August 2013 Campbell will have launched more than 50 new products, including 32 new soups, up from only three in 2010 and 2011, illustrating Morrison's determination to turn around flagging sales at the 143-year-old and $7.7 billion soup company. The plan hinges on a particular demographic: Millennials. To appeal to the coveted cohort, which now measures more than 25% of the U.S. population, Morrison is revamping packaging and soup recipes.

Denise is a founding member of the Healthy Weight Commitment Foundation, an initiative of manufacturers and retailers to combat obesity in the marketplace, workplace, and schools. She also serves on the board of the Grocery Manufacturers Association, where she chairs its Health and Wellness Committee, and on the board of the Consumer Goods Forum. Denise was named to President Barack Obama's Export Council in 2012. She previously served on the boards of The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company and Ballard Power Systems Inc. She is a member of the board of directors for Catalyst and Students in Free Enterprise. She is regularly appears in Fortune and Forbes Most Powerful Women.
