Ah, the holiday season, when landscapes across the world are coated with a dusting of snow and those without it dream of a white Christmas. While one might expect such a scene in Kiev, you probably wouldn't expect it inside the city's subway.
John Metcalfe brings us a delightfully odd video of snow falling inside a subway car in the Ukraine capital. We've witnessed some weird things inside subways (toenail clipping, breakdancing, and proselytizing to name just a few), but this might take the cake.
"This wintery video, purportedly shot aboard the Kiev Metro, shows a unique weather phenomenon happening aboard one train carriage. Drifts of snowflakes (technically snow flurries) gently fall from the ceiling, coating the seats with a pretty dusting of powder. One kid embraces the snowfall with glee, playfully wiping away the traces with his mittens. But most of the car's occupants sit in stony silence inside their rocking snow globe."
