If you are a regular Planetizen reader you will have noticed that the website looks different today. We have redesigned Planetizen with a fresh new look and rebuilt it to be easier to access using a desktop computer, a laptop, a tablet or smartphone. Now you can access and enjoy all of Planetizen's vast compilation of over 12 years of news & commentary in a whole new way, and on the multiple computing devices you use today.
The redesigned website employs a fully "responsive" design that adapts to the device you are using to access the website, whether it is a desktop computer with a large monitor or a smartphone with a much smaller display. Go ahead, try it – visit www.planetizen.com using the web browser on your tablet or smartphone. Note how the website's look changes on these devices to use mobile-optimized layouts and visual presentation.
We have streamlined the home page to display more headlines, spotlight popular stories, and showcase the entire breadth of our content including coverage by categories, trending topics, and geographic regions. The new design adopts a simple and clean visual style that emphasizes readability and convenient navigation. Multimedia and images are now an integral part of our coverage.
Now you can use a single user account to access both the main website at www.planetizen.com as well as our online video courses at courses.planetizen.com. Log in to either site using the same username and password. We have also rebuilt the Planetizen store.
Planetizen has a strong following on social networks with nearly 15,000 followers on Twitter and a very active Facebook community. We have now made it even easier to share and discuss our content on major social media networks.
Our team has been working very hard over the last year to create and launch the new website. But we are not done yet. Please bear with us over the next few weeks as we continue to roll out refinements and new features to make Planetizen even better.
