EnerGov Unveils iG Reviews, Industry's First Mobile iPad App for ePlan Reviews
EnerGov Solutions
DULUTH, GA--(Marketwire - April 12, 2012) - EnerGov Solutions announced today that it will release iG Reviews, the industry's first mobile application that allows government agencies to manage plan reviews electronically and on the go, at the 2012 APA National Planning Conference. iG Reviews is the second application to be released in EnerGov's iG Workforce mobile platform, which was recently named the recipient of Esri's 2012 "Mobile Technology of the Year" award.
Working as a complement to EnerGov's enterprise electronic plan review technology, iG Reviews streamlines the plan review process and enables staff to easily manage and complete tasks directly from the iPad. What's more, by syncing with EnerGov's enterprise software through the cloud, anyone associated with reviewing regulatory requirements can complete tasks in real-time all within a 100% digital environment -- whether in meetings with developers or out on site -- without being anchored to a desktop.
"Government agencies are beginning to recognize the significant gains in efficiency afforded by the latest mobile device technologies," said Jonathan Fife, EnerGov's Chief Technology Officer. "With iG Reviews, we've mobilized a large part of the electronic plan review process allowing for easy and streamlined review administration combined with the convenience of anywhere, anytime access on the iPad."
iG Reviews will allow users to view the details of digital plans, make recommendations, corrections and collaborate with other parties all from the easy-to-use tablet device. With iG Reviews, associated digital plan files and documents can be accessed, marked up, and annotated right within the enterprise regulatory workflow -- allowing for a 100% seamless review and workflow process and eliminating the need for overlapping or duplicate workflow processes with a third-party or stand-alone external ePlan application.
iG Reviews also incorporates out-of-the-box Esri GIS to enable a powerful spatial perspective to the plan review process -- integrating Esri's latest ArcGIS Online capabilities.
EnerGov is a key sponsor of the 2012 APA National Planning Conference where planners, civic leaders, and other key government officials can try out iG Reviews on the Apple iPad for the first time. Attendees will also be able to view the company's flagship enterprise software for Permitting & Land management, Licensing, Asset Management, and Citizen Requests.
"We're excited to showcase the latest addition to our award-winning iG Workforce platform at APA's national conference this year," said Ryan Hountz, EnerGov's EVP of Sales and Marketing. "It's the perfect opportunity for agencies to see first-hand how technology can improve their everyday operations and positively impact the communities they serve."
