New homes and offices near Boston's "Big Dig" project are reviving a waterfront district.

New commercial and residential developments are nearing completion in the first area of this city to be cleared of elevated roadways and other remnants of an industrial past after 10 years of construction on the Big Dig and related infrastructure improvements... The four City Square projects -- two office buildings, a hotel and a condominium -- are reviving a waterfront district that was once lined by industrial buildings and crisscrossed by freight trains, all in the shadows cast by elevated roads and bridges.
