Detroit city officials have received proposals for the demolition of the unused Tiger stadium.
"[Detroit] city officials aren't waiting forever to receive a decent proposal for renovating Tiger Stadium, the former home of the Detroit Tigers baseball team. The new Comerica Park opened in 2000, leaving the ball club's former home, a Detroit landmark, vacant and unused.While there were many proposals tossed around to redevelop the stadium into a mixed-use residential/retail complex, the city has now received figures for demolition of the 89-year-old stadium."
