WASHINGTON (August 24, 2011) – The Urban Land Institute (ULI) Daniel Rose Center for Public Leadership in Land Use is accepting applications for its Public Officials Scholarship Program. Eligible public officials have the opportunity to receive a significant reduction in the registration costs for the 2011 ULI Fall Meeting & Urban Land Expo, October 25 – 28, in Los Angeles.

Scholarship recipients will be eligible for at least a $650 reduction in their registration rates at the Fall Meeting, lowering the fee to only $100 for ULI member public officials and $200 for non-member public officials. The scholarship, funded through Prologis, Inc., is open to both ULI members and non-members. Any elected or appointed official, or management-level staff from the following types of public agencies are eligible to apply:

• federal, state, or local governments
• regional governing bodies, such as councils of government or metropolitan planning organizations
• public utilities, such as transit systems or sewer districts

The scholarship registration fee includes all general and concurrent programs and Wednesday's Cocktail Reception. Scholarship recipients will still have opportunity to purchase separate tickets to mobile workshops and special interest tours.
