Architectural Digest editors sought out movies where the architecture "becomes the whole point of watching."

The Ghost Writer, directed by Roman Polanski last year, centers around a Tony Blair-like character hiding out in a blustery New England beach locale. The writers note that the interiors "...were created by set designer Albrecht Konrad, who had them constructed at a Berlin film studio", and the exteriors were actually shot at a location on the Baltic Sea.
