Colorado Springs Is Expanding -- Fast

Developers have sought to add more than a dozen parcels of land, totaling nearly 3,000 acres, to Colorado Springs city limits so far this month.

If approved, the new parcels would be the most land annexed into the city since the 24,000-acre Banning-Lewis Ranch was added on the city's eastside in 1988. Annexations are considered first by the Colorado Springs Planning Commission, then by the City Council.
