Watershed Planning Becomes Real

Federal legislation to encourage public-private partnerships for watershed planning passes.

"Federal legislation that would give new resources to revitalizing the San Francisco Bay and Sacramento-San Joaquin River Delta estuary along with other coastal habitats across the nation was passed by the U.S. House of Representatives on Tuesday." The Estuary Habitat Restoration Partnership Act will bring more than $75 million in federal resources to coastal restoration and would encourage public-private partnerships for watershed planning.
