California Housing Makes A Comeback

California's housing inventory has regained all the value it lost during the early 1990's, according to a new report.

According to a recent survey by DataQuick Information Systems, a research firm that monitors real-estate activity, "The total value of the state's single-family homes, condominiums and town houses hit $1.98 trillion in June -- up more than 14% from a year earlier -- and is increasing by $58 billion a month."But not all areas have experienced the appreciation in home values. One-third of all homes -- including those in Riverside, San Bernardino, Sacramento, San Joaquin, Stanislaus, Fresno and Kern counties -- have not yet regained their lost value.
