A new report from the Victoria Transport Policy Institute evaluates the benefits of rail transit in a study of major U.S. cities.
A new study concludes that many U.S. cities would realize multiple economic, social and environmental benefits, especially over the long term, by investing in rail transit. The report considers best practices for evaluating transit benefits and observes that many criticisms of rail transit investments are based on inaccurate analysis.
