"More than 1,000 people are now moving to Queensland every week, many of them are families, most settling in Queensland's south-east. That's putting enormous pressure on Brisbane, and the nearby Sunshine and Gold coasts.

...The problem is that we don't seem to have an explicit public focus on the welfare of children in our cities, and we don't seem to be thinking through the links between urban environments and the way we develop and manage those, and the implications for children."
