The guests on this week's Smart City radio show proves that redevelopment is not impossible.McDuffie Nichols is director of the National Trust for Historic Preservation's Community Revitalization Preservation Development initiatives. He previously ran the organization's Main Street program. His focus is on revitalization of commercial districts.Charles Brewer is working on a major new mixed use development in Atlanta's inner city called Glenwood Park. Although the first homes are just nearing completion, the Congress for the New Urbanism has already recognized the Glenwood Park Design for neighborhood design excellence.Host Carol Coletta talks to Mac Nichols and Charles Brewer about the challenges and rewards of redevelopment on the next "Smart City."
