The City of Palo Alto's is planning to build a new police building. The new building will be designed to be environmentally sensitive. The intention is to use durable, low-maintenance and low-toxicity materials, use natural sunlight for illumination, and to focus on energy efficiency and conservation. The assistant city manager said, "We'll model what we want other people to do and we're going to put our money where our mouth is."
