The area north of downtown Tampa, once the scene of boarded up buildings and trash piles, is beginning to look up. The city is increasing cleaning and maintenance to the area. Several new urban lifestyle residentail developments are planned or under construction. Historic buildings are being renovated for residential and office use. This combination of public and private investment is making the area seem much brighter for residents and businesses that endured through decades of neglect.
