The Barn Saver, a business started by John High, salvages entire barns or their component parts for reconstruction on other sites or re-use in homes, furniture and crafts.
A former wrecking ball operator, John High, has salvaged over 200 barnes or their component parts. Many historic barns are in the path of new development and are often just demolished. High can't stand to see a barn destroyed and sent "to a landfill." High cherishes the craftsmanship and quality of the "wood that endures for a century and longer." Ideally, preservationists prefer to see barnes preserved on their original site, and if possible re-used as a restaurant or museum.
