Foxconn has reversed course, reinstating plans to build a manufacturing plant in Wisconsin after casting doubt on the idea earlier this week.

A few days after saying it had cancelled plans to build a manufacturing plant in Wisconsin, Foxconn Technology Group says the idea has a green light again. A call from President Donald Trump swayed the company's plans.
Scott Bauer reports for the Associated Press that President Trump intervened in the ongoing saga of the Foxconn manufacturing facility planned for Racine County, Wisconsin, calling Foxconn Chairman Terry Gou on the phone today.
After the call, Foxconn released a statement that announces yet another change in plan—a return to plans for a "Gen 6 manufacturing facility," a smaller version of the "Gen 10" plant originally planned by the company, but more in line with the original plans than the research and development facility announced earlier this week.
