The venue, located just outside the city, currently lacks transit access.
Denver officials are considering adding new public transit to the popular Red Rocks Amphitheater, which hosts major musical acts throughout the summer and fall.
Denver city council member Darrell Watson says adding a Red Rocks connector to the RTD W line would offer an easier, more affordable option for accessing the venue, reduce congestion through small communities, and lower carbon emissions from driving.
According to an article from 9 News by Briana Fernandez, “The goal is to add the RTD W line through Morrison and have a stop in between to Golden, in case there are people who want to hike or enjoy the area, without having to drive and get stuck in traffic.”
