Arizona Mayors Want to Stay in the Paris Climate Agreement

The mayors of Tucson and Phoenix want Congress to block President Donald Trump from removing the United States from the Paris Climate Agreement.

"Tucson Mayor-elect Regina Romero and Phoenix Mayor Kate Gallego in a letter Tuesday urged Arizona's members of Congress to back legislation to keep the U.S. in the Paris Climate Agreement," reports Ariana Brocious.

Although President Trump promised to remove the country from the Paris Climate Agreement in 2017, the process was not officially set in motion until this month.

The American Planning Association also voiced its opposition to the president's decision to remove the country from the agreement.
