Emily's professional journey reflects boundless curiosity and a strong sense of adventure, characterized by a longtime interest in the social sciences, cultural anthropology, health and the environment. She has explored these interrelated subjects through various lenses: as a public policy researcher, academic editor, documentary filmmaker and more recently as a narrative storyteller. Before becoming a freelancer, she was the Research Director at MapLight.org.
