New Jersey Transit has been disrupted by a lack of conductors and bus drivers, but Governor Phil Murphy says that's going to change.

The New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy called NJ Transit a "national disgrace." In a press conference Monday, the governor said the state will be hiring more staff and buying more busses to ease over crowding. "In March, Murphy unveiled a $242 million increase in state funding for NJ Transit, which will allow the agency to hire new employees," Kaitlyn Kanzler reports.
The service handles over a half million bus riders on many weekdays. "Some of the routes that will have added buses include the 156, 158 and 159 routes in Bergen County and the 126 and 123 routes in Hoboken," Kanzler writes.
