Local Government Commission
Thursday February 1, 2018
Location: San Francisco, CA
WebsiteThe official Call for Presentation Ideas (CFPI) is STILL OPEN for the 17thAnnual New Partners for Smart Growth: Practical Tools and Innovative Strategies for Creating Great Communities Conference. Don't miss this opportunity to submit a presentation, best practice, case study, innovative tool or new technology, or innovative policy or project, to be considered for the conference program! Please note — we are NOT accepting proposals for complete sessions.
Presentation proposals will be accepted through June 30th (proposals received after June 30, 2017, will not be considered). The submittal review process will take place from mid-July through early September 2017.
The LGC and our partners are taking a NEW approach to developing the New Partners Conference program. The 2018 program will feature a total of EIGHT thematic tracks with six dynamic sessions in each, that will provide participants an opportunity for a more dynamic, implementation-oriented learning experience.
Tracks will be put together by subcommittees made up of national, statewide and local issue experts. Each track will focus on a set of topics strongly connected to timely community issues or challenges, with smart growth as the thread woven between and throughout each track. As the sessions are developed within each track, a strong focus on equity, diversity, and inclusion will be applied.
As part of the session development process, subcommittees for each of the eight tracks will review and consider proposals received through the official Call for Presentation Ideas.
All proposals must be submitted through an online submittal form on the conference website (proposals will not be accepted via fax or email). For more details on how to propose a presentation, case study, innovative tool, new technology, best practice, or model policy, visit https://www.newpartners.org/propose-a-presentation/.
