"A boat version of the 16-person pedal pubs, frequently seen cruising downtown Detroit, is coming to Lake St. Clair this May," reports Robert Allen.

Tales of mythical pedal pubs reached Planetizen from Cincinnati in June 2015. The pedal pubs have proven so popular on the streets of Detroit, however, that the owners of Detroit Cycle Pub decided to float the idea of a pedal boat.

"Detroit Cycle Boat tours will depart from St. Clair Shores, allowing beer, wine and liquor on the 32-foot pontoon boat with up to 16 riders, including 12 people using bicycle-style pedals for propulsion," adds Allen.
