March 15, 2017 is the upcoming application deadline for the Certificate of Advanced Graduate Study (CAGS) in Urban Justice and Sustainability program.
The CAGS will prepare you to be more effective in advancing urban justice and sustainability through public policy and planning practice, research, and activism. You will join a small cohort of fellow students and supportive faculty mentors in a co-learning model, drawing on knowledge and skills from the fields of urban planning, environmental affairs, public administration, public policy, and transportation, as well as public health, international development, food policy, and sustainable development.
At Tufts, you will develop expertise and key skills that government agencies, non-profits, and consulting firms are seeking, such as:
- A reflective professional practice that can translate into a direct impact on society
- The ability to solve complex problems
- Strength in cultural competency
- Effective communication skills for Post-Master’s Professionals
This program is an online plus on-campus certificate offered over the course of one year, enabling you to study at a top ranked university while continuing to work full-time. Coursework includes two five-day, on-campus summer intensive courses, and online courses in social justice and sustainability and community engagement.
