The largest real estate project under construction in Texas, located in Plano, is wrapping up in about half the expected amount of time.
"Developers building Plano's $3 billion Legacy West project say it has happened in less the half the time of their most optimistic projections," reports Steve Brown.
Conservative estimates before the project began construction put the timeline at nine to ten years. Now the project only has 11 acres out of 255 acres left to develop after only 2.5 years of construction.
The project includes new corporate campuses for Toyota, JPMorgan Chase, and Liberty Mutual Insurance, according to Brown. Steve Van Amburgh, CEO of developer KDC, credits some of the fast pace of construction to the addition of Toyota to the campus.
