Progress has been made toward a downtown revival, but can the city sustain the momentum?
In March 2001, the American Institute of Architects Regional/Urban Design Assistance Team (RUDAT) worked in downtown Buffalo. For five days the team of architects, city planners, developers, market analysts and others from across the United States examined the prospects for downtown living in Buffalo, and at the group presented their recommendations for the future of Buffalo's downtown. A year and a half later, the City has experienced major progress. To maintain this momentum the R/UDAT team offers planning recommendations outlined in the article.
