"Story County is hosting a public input meeting Thursday evening in Ames about the comprehensive, 20-year plan to help guide the county’s future," reports Gavin Aronsen. The county located north of Des Moines in Iowa is following the lead of the American Planning Association’s community planning assistance team, which visited the county in October 2011.

The plan, titled Cornerstone to Capstone (C2C) will address housing, economic development, transportation service, community facilities and infrastructure, natural resources, land use, fringe-area planning, and intergovernmental cooperation, according to the article. The county has already begun collecting public input on a survey.
