The opponents of the 2,800-acre suburb planned for north of Los Angeles claimed that the statistics on traffic are outdated and need to be made current. Those in favor of the development maintain that housing is essential. A Ventura County Board of Supervisors member urged that pressure be put on Washington Mutual to sell the land.
