Donald Trump says he will sue to prevent the construction of an offshore wind farm that government officials claim will boost the local economy and meet half of residential energy needs in Aberdeen, Scotland.
Donald Trump's resort in Aberdeen, Scotland has permission to build two golf courses, a 450-room hotel and holiday homes along 3 miles of coastline. One golf course already opened last year despite local protests from residents and environmentalists.
As of this week, Trump is waging his own war on a government-approved, Swedish-owned, offshore wind farm of 11 turbines that would meet the electricity needs of half the families in Aberdeen.
Worried the turbines would ruin views from his resort, Trump claims the wind farm is not only unsightly but could also negatively impact tourism and the environment in Aberdeen.
