These prestigious awards honor organizations and individuals for their efforts in creating positive change in urban, suburban, and rural communities.
WHERE DOES YOUR ORGANIZATION FIT IN?
Last year in the "Website-General Purpose: Population greater than 200,000" category, the Indy Partnership came away with the award. Their advanced interactive economic development tool with GIS mapping that allows both point data and thematic data to be plotted on the same map was the first of its kind. Also in 2009, University Park Alliance won the "Partnerships with Educational Institutions: Population less than 50,000" award for their work in revitalizing the 50-block University Park neighborhood with the University of Akron in Ohio.

Awards recipients will be recognized at the 2010 IEDC Annual Conference – the largest and most comprehensive event for the economic development profession.
According to the predictions of leading economists, in 2010 the United States' economic recovery will be well under way. As our country - and the rest of the world - emerges from this perfect storm of 2008 and 2009, we will undoubtedly encounter a landscape that has been vastly altered.
The old ways of doing business and making deals will no longer be relevant and likely be replaced by more innovative approaches. While caution appears to be the buzzword - affecting everything from credit markets to consumer spending to corporate expansion - history shows us that even in these difficult conditions, success is achieved by forward-thinking entrepreneurs and others willing to think outside the box.
