A key figure in federal economic recovery efforts, Dr. Montgomery helmed the Labor Department transition team for then President-Elect Obama and is now leading the effort across federal agencies to help rebuild American auto communities. A noted economist who has taken on one of the toughest jobs on President Obama's auto task force, Dr. Montgomery is helping to rebuild the communities that are being devastated by the industry's downsizing.
