Learn project management, site planning, trends in planning law, retail market analysis and more. Classes start early November.
Professional Development Institute, Rutgers University
Beginning in early November, the Bloustein Online Continuing Education Program (BOCEP) is offering several professional development courses to suit many interests and budgets. All these courses can be completed from the convenience of your computer and have been approved (or are being submitted) for AICP CM credit.
For learners who want to get deep knowledge about a subject, we offer BOCEP Deep Learning courses. Designed for busy professionals, there are no required meetings. But they are interactive: You can share ideas with other professionals through online dialogues led by instructors. Instructors are seasoned practitioners committed to your learning and professional development.
Upcoming BOCEP DL courses are:
*Project Management for Urban Planning, November 4 to December 12
*Current Trends in Land Use Law, November 4 to December 5
*Retail Market Analysis, November 4 to December 5
*Site Planning Analysis, November 11 to December 19
All of these courses have been approved for 14 AICP Certification Maintenance credits. They also can help you earn a Bloustein Professional Certificate. These certificates demonstrate to colleagues, clients and employers that you have substantial knowledge in any of our course tracks: Community Development and Social Equity, Economic Development and Real Estate, Planning Law and Legal Issues, Professional Practice, Smart Growth and Sustainable Development, and Urban Design and Placemaking.
BOCEP DL courses are not webinars. They are graduate-level instructor-led courses designed to give you the time to learn, practice and reflect. If you have been looking for a learning experience that will help you retain more knowledge longer, try a BOCEP DL course.
Can't make the time for a DL course? Try a BOCEP Learning Lab. These are 1 to 1.5 hour interactive webinars on a wide range of topics. Like our BOCEP DL courses, our Learning Labs are designed to help you share ideas and learn with other professionals. Upcoming Learning Labs include:
*Who do They Think You Are? Branding for Planning, Design and Development Firms, November 3
*Cultural Resources: What are They and How do They Impact the Planning Process, November 10
*Planning for Cost-Effective Public Engagement, November 11
*Understanding Environmental Contamination Conditions as Part of the Planning Process, December 1
BOCEP is produced by the Professional Development Institute of Rutgers University's Edward J. Bloustein School of Planning and Public Policy. The Bloustein School is one of the top centers for planning education in the United States.
