"It was lost jobs and local shops vs. lost shoppers and sales taxes as each side in Wednesday's sparring match over the proposed super Wal-Mart scored points...The first jab during the luncheon debate at Little America came from initial speaker Al Madle, representing local restaurateurs. Madle argued that shoppers determine the retail landscape, and if local business owners can't meet their demands, then big boxes should."
