Debra Stein is president of GCA Strategies, a public affairs firm specializing in controversial projects across the nation. She is the author of several books on NIMBYism and has almost 25 years of experience building community and political acceptance for land use projects.
Ms. Stein is a full member of the Urban Land Institute and, within ULI, a member of the Transit-Oriented Development Council,, the Program Committee, and the Policy and Practice Committee. She is also a member of the Association for Conflict Resolution, the International Association of Participation Professionals, and the California Bar Association.
Ms. Stein has a BS in Political Management from UC Berkeley and a law degree from the University of San Francisco.
