BOCEP course helps you keep current on trends in land use law
Bloustein Online Continuing Education Program
Current Trends in Land Use Law, a new BOCEP course, can help you stay up-to-date on the latest developments in siting religious uses and adult businesses, regulating green development and workforce housing, and in defining appropriate uses for eminent domain. This course is taught by one of the nation's leading experts in land use law – Patricia Salkin, Esq., Associate Dean, Professor of Law and Director of the Government Law Center of the Albany Law School.
The Bloustein Online Continuing Education Program provides high quality, convenient and cost-effective professional development. You can participate at any time from virtually any computer with an Internet connection. Courses cost $295 (Scholarships up to $100 are available) and most courses are eligible for 14 AICP Certification Maintenance credits. It is interactive – you can share ideas and explore issues with professionals from around the United States. But the best reason to take a BOCEP course is that provides informative and practical continuing education.
Not sure if an online class is right for you? Please consider this: Every year, between 75% and 85% of learners say they "learned a great deal" in their course. The vast majority of learners last year – 66% -- said their course met or exceeded all of their expectations. What do they like best about their courses: the knowledge they gain from their instructors, interactions with other learners, the overall quality of education, and the usefulness of what they learn.
The BOCEP learning model works because courses are designed by planning professionals who understand the challenges of trying to be well-informed while managing multiple deadlines and personal matters. Our courses give you the time to learn, practice, reflect and discuss with other professionals.
Scholarships of $50 are available for the first 10 registrants. Please use promotion code BGBBS.
Most BOCEP learners are mid and senior-level professionals. Many have never taken an online class before. We provide instructions, an orientation, and learning tips to help you succeed.
BOCEP is produced by the Professional Development Institute of Rutgers University's Edward J. Bloustein School of Planning and Public Policy. It has one of the best planning programs in the country.
