Chuck D'Aprix to keynote Colorado Entrepreneurship Conference--Active on the Speaking Circuit

Chuck D'Aprix, who has changed the face of community and downtown revitalization by actively advocating "entrepreneurship over business luring" will be the closing keynote speaker at the Colorado Entrepreneurship Marketplace on October 10th, 2008. Mr. D'Aprix is Principal of three highly creative consulting firms--THE DOWNTOWN ENTREPRENEURSHIP PROJECT, ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT VISIONS, and THE RETAIL INCUBATION GROUP--all based in Washington DC, with satellite offices in Boston and Miami.
Often described as an economic development maverick, Mr. D'Aprix will issue a "call to entrepreneurship arms" to conference participants. Mr. D'Aprix, says "It is refreshing to see that the Rural Development Council in Colorado understands the importance of entrepreneurship to all aspects of community revitalization."
Mr. D'Aprix is now on the speaking circuit, most recently addressing a state-wide meeting of downtown revitalization professionals in Ohio and Vermont. He is slated to soon do the same in Illinois. In addition, he has addressed countless local organizations on issues ranging from market analysis to business development, to entrepreneurship, to retail incubation. He is often called upon by Mayors, Business Leaders and Governors on matters related to economic development.
