Learn GIS, urban design analysis, long range planning or retail market analysis in October
Rutgers University -- Professional Development Institute
If you want an effective, affordable and convenient way to learn urban design, geographic information systems, or retail market analysis, please consider enrolling in a BOCEP course in October.
The Bloustein Online Continuing Education Program (BOCEP) offers high quality professional development. You can learn at least as much in our courses as you would in a two- to three-day workshop. Our courses give you the time to learn at your convenience. There are no scheduled meetings, and you can participate from almost any computer with an Internet connection. You can learn from seasoned practitioners and share ideas with planning professionals from around the United States. BOCEP courses provide useful knowledge for your work and career.
In October, we are offering:
• Introduction to Geographic Information Systems, October 15 to November 22
• Long Range Planning, October 15 to November 22
• Urban Design Analysis, October 15 to November 22
• Developer's Toolbox: Retail Market Analysis, October 22 to November 29
Each of these classes will be submitted for 14 AICP Certification Maintenance credits. The course fee is $295 (not including any required texts). The first 10 who enroll in a class get a $50 scholarship. Please use promotion code BGBBS when registering. Members of the Professional Development Institute Network get even bigger scholarships. Please check the BOCEP website to find out how to join the network.
Never taken an online class? Please consider this: Our course evaluations show that up to 85% of professionals said they learned a great deal in their course. Last year, 66% of learners said their course met or exceed all of their expectations. BOCEP launched in 2005, and every year more learners give our courses better scores.
About 85% of learners said what they enjoyed most about their class was the knowledge they gained in class and the interaction with instructor and other students.
BOCEP is produced by the Professional Development Institute of Rutgers University's Edward J. Bloustein School of Planning and Public Policy. It has one of the top planning programs in the United States.
