Southern New Hampshire University - Los Angeles Center Weekend Masters Program

SNHU - LA Center

The School of Community Economic Development (SCED)
at Southern New Hampshire University pioneered the
nation's first Master of Science programs in community
economic development. The school offers advanced
interdisciplinary (MS/MA/MBA/PhD) degree programs
and several professional training institutes. SCED is
accredited by the New England Association for Schools
and Colleges and the New Hampshire Postsecondary
Education Commission. It is an academic affiliate of
NeighborWorks® America, the Peace Corps, the National
Alliance of Community Economic Development
Associations (NACEDA) and Los Angeles-based
Community Development Technologies Center (CD Tech).

The school advocates community development as a strategy
for correcting socioeconomic inequality. We take a critical
approach to community development from both a national
and international perspective. Our faculty and students
practice an effective peer-learning educational model
that offers CED professionals the skills needed to
advance change. With over 1,200 graduates, the school
has been instrumental in helping affect change in
marginalized communities across the United States
and in developing countries.

The school delivers its M.S. programs at SNHU's main
campus in Manchester, New Hampshire and its West
Coast Location in Los Angeles, California. The program
provides CED practitioners and policy makers with skills
in project design, management and evaluation, as well
as financial and strategic management of CED-based
organizations.
