The Port of San Diego ("District") is currently accepting applications and/or resumes for the position of Assistant Redevelopment Planner. This position is non-exempt (eligible for overtime).

DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS: Assistant Redevelopment Planner is the entry-level professional class in the planning class series. Initially under direct supervision, incumbents perform the more routine professional land use and environmental planning review, studies and analyses. With experience and an incumbent's enhanced knowledge of legal, regulatory and policy provisions, the work becomes progressively more diversified and difficult and requires increasing independence.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education, Training and Experience:
Graduation from a four-year college or university with a major in planning, environmental resources, biology, ecology, environmental science, natural resource management or geography, with courses in urban or regional planning or a closely related field; and two years of progressively responsible experience in land use, environmental, urban or regional planning or research.
